题 目：Capital Account Openness and Unemployment: The Role of Labor Market Institutions and Stage of Development

Abstract: We analyze how capital account openness influence employment in this paper. In theory, we show that the effect of financial openness depends on labor market institutions. For developing countries, with a flexible labor market, greater financial openness leads to capital inflow and improves domestic employment. With a rigid labor market, greater financial openness reduces domestic employment. For high income countries, labor market institutions do not systematically alter the effect of financial openness on domestic employment. We provide empirical evidence to support the theoretical predictions.

杜清源，2011年博士毕业于美国哥伦比亚大学经济系，现任澳大利亚莫纳什大学助理教授。主要研究领域包括国际经济学，宏观经济学，发展经济学以及中国经济。曾在Journal of International Economics, European Economic Review, Journal of International Money and Finance, Economics Letters以及金融研究发表论文。
