讲座题目： Digital Economy and Decentralization of Cities: Evidence from China

内容提要：This study investigates the effect of the digital economy on internal structure of cities. Based on nighttime lighting data from 2012 to 2019, this paper measures the decentralization of Chinese cities using multiple indicators such as suburbanization index, sprawl index, Gini coefficient, and Herfindahl-Hirschman Index. We find that with the development of digital economy, cities are showing a trend towards decentralization, but this effect is mainly effective in cities with higher levels of roughness, higher river density, and larger population and economic scale. Moreover, using the data of point of interest, we find that the development of digital economy mainly drives the diffusion of industries with low geographical dependence to the suburbs of cities.

本研究调查了数字经济对城市内部结构的影响。 本文基于2012-2019年的夜间照明数据，采用城郊化指数、蔓延指数、基尼系数、赫芬达尔-赫希曼指数等多个指标衡量中国城市的去中心化程度。 我们发现，随着数字经济的发展，城市呈现出去中心化的趋势，但这种效应主要在粗糙度较高、河流密度较高、人口和经济规模较大的城市有效。 此外，利用兴趣点数据，我们发现数字经济的发展主要带动地理依赖度低的产业向城市郊区扩散。

讲座嘉宾简介：

郭峰，上海财经大学公共经济与管理学院投资系讲席副教授、系主任，上海财经大学数实融合与智能治理实验室执行主任。研究领域包括数字经济与数字金融、机器学习与大数据分析、公共经济学等范畴。在《经济研究》《管理世界》（2篇）《经济学季刊》（6篇）《管理科学学报》，Research Policy, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization和China Economic Review等中英文学术期刊上发表论文50余篇，在主流媒体发表经济时评90余篇，出版学术专著3部，参著数部。主持国家社科基金青年、上海市哲学社会科学规划项目、博士后科学基金面上项目等课题10余项。
